The site serves the visibility of the program "discover.IP", which is carried out in cooperation by the Austrian Patent Office and the aws - Austria Wirtschaftsservice GmbH, as well as the presentation of knowledge in the field of Intellectual Property (IPR).

Austria Wirtschaftsservice Gesellschaft mbH (aws) is a federal development bank wholly owned by the Republic of Austria. The Federal Ministry for Digitization and Business Location (BMDW) and the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) act as owner representatives. The aws provides its services on behalf of the public sector. The clients are the owner representatives BMDW and BMK, other federal ministries, provinces, public bodies and interest groups.
